Tech Spirit Barcelona registers more than 3,000 people the first day

Barcelona, February 20th, 2020-. Tech Spirit Barcelona, the Project which emerged spontaneously and joint the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Barcelona after the cancellation of 4YFN and Mobile World Congress (MWC), it had reached more than 2.500 people registered the first day of the launch of the website, www.techspirit.barcelona. At the end of the afternoon, it already had overtaken 3.000 people registered.

All sessions, which will begin on February 23rd until 27th, are intended for entrepreneurs, teams, companies, students and other organizations related to the entrepreneurial sector. These will take place at Casa Llotja de Mar of the Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona, as well as in other spaces of the city, bringing together 45 activities in the main space during the days 25th, 26th and 27th and more than 100 events. Around 60 national and international speakers and a hundred venture capital investors are already confirmed.

Among the 60 speakers who will attend, some of them are Ferran Adrià as a chef; the teacher from the University of California, Berkeley,Jerome S. Engel; the advertiser Toni Segarra; Esteban Granero, soccer player and entrepreneur y Tatxo Benet from Mediapro. Representatives from Holaluz, eDreams, Badi, Telegram, Glovo, TravelPerk, Uber, Microsoft Research, Vilynx, as well as ImaginBank, InnoCells (Banco Sabadell), Telefónica and Adevinta.

After the cancellation last Wednesday of the MWC and 4YFN, on Thursday the spontaneous reaction of the entrepreneurial community of Barcelona emerged to accommodate all the energy that bursts these days in the city. Tech Spirit Barcelona is an inclusive and transversal movement promoted by Barcelona Tech City together with the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat of Catalunya, the Government of Spain, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the Free Zona Consortium, the Cambra de Comerç of Barcelona, BSM, and many other companies or organizations related to the ecosystem.

The initiative, which only will be celebrated this year, is leaded by Barcelona Tech City and has the support from companies such as CaixaBank, Banco Sabadell, Acciona, Sorigué, DWF-RCD, Epson, ICF, Meetmaps, Watchity, Social Point as well as the company Llorente y Cuenca (LLYC), Mortensen, McCann, DAMM, LaFamiglia and El Palauet.
